Jake Filoon, MBA

Financial Advisor

Jake joined The Bulfinch Group in September 2019. For the past 20 years, he has held varying relationship management positions at Weston Financial Group, Bank of America/Merrill Lynch, U.S. Trust/Bank of America Wealth Management and Columbia Management Advisors, providing solutions and relationship management for wealth management clients. As a young person, Jake witnessed first-hand family living beyond their means and the implications of this lifestyle – financial security lost, relationships broken, cars repossessed, and properties sold. The emotional hardship associated with this experience has stuck with Jake and his family and motivates him to help others so that they never have to live through anything as unsettling.

As a Financial Advisor with The Bulfinch Group, Jake is able to combine his extensive wealth management experience with his desire to help people achieve financial organization and wellness. His mission is to help people achieve security, clarify and confidence, and ultimately balance, with their financial world in achieving what they want to do most in life.

A Needham, Massachusetts resident for the past 20 years, along with his wife Gretchen, Jake has been involved with Town Government, including serving on the Finance Committee and Town Meeting Member. Jake is also involved with community activities, including serving as Board Member and Treasurer of Three Squares New England and President of the Hyannis Port Civic Association on Cape Cod*. These days, he spends his recreational time biking during the warmer seasons and skiing in the winter. With a daughter in high school and a son in college, Jake takes pride in helping his children navigate their journeys.

Jake earned his B.A. from Colby College and earned his M.B.A. from Babson College.
