Financial Coach

At The Bulfinch Group, my team and I help design and implement financial strategies for individuals, families, and small business owners who seek to maximize wealth and protection, reduce risk, and help them proactively make financial decisions from a position of strength.

A relative of mine had advised me through traditional financial planning, and in turn, I lost a lot of money during the financial crisis of 2008. Luckily, I was young enough to recover from this loss; however, many people closer to retirement who followed the traditional ways of planning may be wishing they had done things differently. I am committed to helping my clients live their best lives with financial confidence. It is my personal mission to challenge the traditional ways people think about money, and help as many people as possible reach their FULL financial potential so that they can live a life they love on their terms.

I use a comprehensive planning model that focuses on three core principles:

  1. Wants vs. Needs
Challenging traditional needs-based planning: helping my clients reach their best potential outcomes under most foreseeable circumstances by educating them on how to spend and enjoy their hard earned savings without sacrificing legacy.
  2. Financial Order & Balance
Planning in the right order: protecting your life’s work first, before allocating assets.
  3. Rate of Savings before Rate of Return
Reducing or eliminating known risks: rate of savings is more important than traditionally “chasing” rates of return.

Through a tailor-made, wide-angle approach, our planning process begins with financial organization. By using The Living Balance Sheet®, my clients are able to take control over their wealth by viewing their entire financial picture in one central location. Through this customized process, I gain a comprehensive understanding of my client’s purpose and goals, then co-create a plan that seeks to simultaneously protect and grow wealth while reducing risk.

I have been in the financial services industry for 15 years, joining with The Bulfinch Group in 2013. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree from Bentley University and my Masters of Business Administration degree from Northeastern University. I am passionate about self-improvement and a Certified Facilitator* in Bob Proctor’s Life Success Corporate: Thinking into Results. My belief in serving those who served us and my love for animals (especially dogs), motivated me to found the Boston Chapter of Pets for Vets in 2016, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

My wife, Kelly and I reside in Westwood, MA with our two sons, Jack &  Davis, along with our two dogs, Paris and Zoe. I enjoy spending time with my family & friends. I love golfing, skiing, playing tennis, and working out. I am a huge history geek and have a passion for traveling. (Kelly and I married in Florence, Italy!).
